With over fifteen years’ experience working as a freelance writer, editor, and manuscript assessor, I count myself very lucky to be able to make a living doing what I love.
I have both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Creative Writing, and over 25 years experience working across the Arts, Community Services, and Education sectors. I have published hundreds of articles, created copy for countless clients, assessed and edited everything from memoir to non-fiction and fiction, written educational texts and course material for numerous publishers and organisations, mentored new and emerging writers, and run workshops and courses on all aspects of writing and editing. I have also worked on scripts with documentary filmmakers, run pitching workshops and sessions, and participated in and chaired numerous funding panels with ArtsNSW. I write a regular column for Verandah magazine, and have chaired and participated in panel discussions - as well as running workshops - at The Byron Bay Writers' Festival, the Southern Highlands Writers' Festival, The Bellingen Writers' Festival, and GenreCon.
In short, I love nothing more (family aside) than playing with words, creating stories that enthrall and inspire, and helping others attain their own writing and publishing dreams. Having said that, I also have a soft spot for bread and cheese, wine and flowers, and jazz.
